Integrated finance and EPC alignment
Financing structure and engineering scope are developed together rather than sequentially, so pricing, contract terms and lender conditions remain consistent from concept through submission.
Why BHL
Large-scale projects rarely fail for lack of ambition. They fail because scope, commercial terms and financing requirements were never aligned. That alignment is our mandate.
Core advantages
Five characteristics define how BHL engages with prospective project sponsors.
Financing structure and engineering scope are developed together rather than sequentially, so pricing, contract terms and lender conditions remain consistent from concept through submission.
Relationships with international engineering and financing institutions give projects under consideration access to capability and counterparties that would otherwise be difficult to reach.
Headquartered in Ghana and focused on West Africa, BHL understands the institutional, regulatory and commercial realities that determine whether a project can actually be delivered.
We prepare projects to the documentation and diligence standards institutional counterparties expect, and we keep structuring assumptions intact through implementation.
A consultancy/success fee of 0.5%–5% of total project value, with a modest mutually agreed initial engagement fee, aligns our commercial interest with the sponsor's outcome.
International capability
BHL leverages a network of established international EPC, engineering and financing partners to support the preparation and structuring of qualifying infrastructure projects. This provides access to international EPC capability, technical expertise, engineering standards and potential financing channels relevant to projects under consideration.
BHL's role is to coordinate and structure these capabilities around the requirements of each project. Financing remains subject to eligibility, due diligence, lender requirements, credit approval and final transaction structuring.
